Medhat Saleh, an Underrated Egyptain Singer

He might as well be the first modern day Egyptian singer to release a music video, he is still making awesome music since he emerged in the late 80s and still he refuses to age or give up. His music is often timely and he seems to want to release a new song a day, which is really good news. Medhat Saleh have a very strong voice, the opera kind of voice that is magical.

He has a dozen of songs for Egypt and they are all classics, he has also appeared on TV by acting. His latest is a song for unity in Egypt among Muslims and Christians, one hand he calls. He is one of those few singers than can talk about anything, he has earned his stripes.

While other Egyptian singers get titles and cool names, he has never seemed to chase after titles like the heart of Egypt (taken), the voice of Egypt (also taken) but he keeps making wonderful music and releasing albums and making duets with other international singers.

Most people in the Arab world know him for his work on TV, but not acting most Arabic drams need a theme song, Medhat Saleh is one of the few go to singers who can write and perform those songs that often go on and become hits on their own merit. My favorite song of his, is the one he recorded for Ahmad Al Saqqa breakthrough action flick Mafia.

enjoy his latest serving of good music with an uplifting message and call to action and unity between the two factions that make Egypt the great country that will be in the near future.
