This Guy--Rushdie Make Folklore Classier

Egyptian or any other Folksy --sha'abi music often lacks class because it tend to tell random stories, and break rules that the elite have put to make themselves feel better about their lives. In Lebanon, Fayrouz broke the rules and made folksy music mainstream and popular with just about everyone.

But in Egypt, they had a guy who did just that. The guy's name is Mohammad Rushidi. His fame started on the radio and then followed up by a number of films. He keep making music till his last breath. The thing I like about Mohammed Rushdie is her persona on stage, he knows how to get people excited and he did it throughout the Arab world.

In a sense he made the it cool to listen to sh'abi music and all the stories that goes with it. I like millions happen to enjoy his ballads, they remind one of the countryside, but his music is nothing short of sophistication, something only a live orchestra has produce.
